Mr. Man Celebrates Valentine’s Day with the Best Gay Romantic Films

As most theatres, clubs and restaurants will be closed this Valentine’s weekend, the number one authority on male celebrity nudity is encouraging its members to stay home and make it a Netflix and Chill kind of holiday.  In their latest top ten, Netflix and Chill: Movies for Valentine’s Day, Mr. Man reveals the best gay movies that are sure to ignite the passion this Valentine’s Day. The list combines major blockbusters like Brokeback Mountain and Call Me by Your Name with lesser-known titles including the steamy God’s Own Country starring Josh O’Connor, best known for playing Prince Charles on TV’s The Crown.  Find the full list of Netflix and Chill: Movies for Valentine’s Day at https://www.mrman.com/top10-netflix-and-chill

#10: The Skinny (2012)

If you found The Boys in the Band to be a little too… pasty… may we suggest this 2012 alternative! A group of hot gay black friends gather in New York City for a reunion that leads to lots of hot gay sex! All seven of the film’s gay hookups are hot and full of skin, but we’re partial to the bathroom hookup between Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Robb Sherman an hour and fourteen minutes in! There’s nothing Skinny about Robb’s fat cock!

#9: Boy Culture (2006)

If you’re looking for a tale about a throuple involving male escorts, you could do a lot worse than this 2006 flick. Don’t worry, though, this isn’t a film that gets bogged down in the minutiae of making a throuple work, it’s more about the hot sex! 34 minutes in, Jonathon Trent makes a big impression when he bares his bubble butt in bed! Sign us up for the Boy Culture Club!

#8: Free Fall (2013)

This German film presupposes that since male cops spend so much time together in such an intimate setting, it’s gonna eventually lead to sex! We stand behind this sort of scientific study, though we’re more interested in some field research! In addition to all the shower scenes in this flick, check out the steamy gay hookup between Hanno Koffler and Sense8’s Max Riemelt! That’ll melt your hard-on!

#7: A Single Man (2009)

Colin Firth delivered an Oscar nominated performance in this heart-breaking 2009 drama, though if all he had to do was act like he was in lust with Nicholas Hoult, that’s not Oscar-worthy! We kid, we kid! But we’re not kidding about how hot Hoult’s seduction scene is! With his back to the camera, Hoult drops trou and flashes us his phenomenal full moon!

#6: Brokeback Mountain (2005)

It’s been memed to death by now, but this tender and touching love story never stops packing an emotional wallop. If you want to subject yourself to that this V-Day, go right ahead, but maybe you wanna stop watching when they come down off the mountain if you don’t want to be an emotional wreck! Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal’s tent hookup may be skinless, but it’s hard to top in the hotness department!

#5: Weekend (2011)

The ultimate lounge around the house flick is this 2011 UK drama starring Chris New and Tom Cullen! These Brit babes spend almost the entire flick nude, but it’s hotter than hell when they hook up for over three minutes at the 72-minute mark! Talk about a long weekend!

#4: Call Me By Your Name (2017)

Speaking of being memed to death, this all-time romantic weeper is a full four-hankie affair! Two for your tears and the other two to help you clean up after you enjoy Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer’s post-peach hook up! Knowing what we know now, it’s a good thing all Armie wanted to eat was the peach!

Rotten Tomatoes Audience Score: 86%

#3: Maurice (1987)

Out director James Ivory was the king of costume dramas, but none channeled his own inner life quite like this 1987 film. As the titular Maurice, James Wilby delivers not only a great performance but he also delivers the goods, going fully nude to hook up with co-star Rupert Graves just past the two-hour mark! Talk about a period piece!

#2: God’s Own Country (2017)

For more choice UK exports, check out this 2017 film set in the gorgeous English countryside. The real sights to see here, however, are barely hidden under the clothes of Josh O’Connor and Alec Secareanu! 47 minutes in, Josh Winnie-the-Poohs it by going bottomless to chat with a fully nude Alec, presumably about the dangers of pants!

#1: Beautiful Thing (1996)

Part of the queer cinema explosion of the mid-90s, this indie drama—also from the UK—was a watershed film. It wasn’t often that we saw gay first love pictured in such an honest way, and while this may not be the “hottest” film on the list, it’s definitely one of the most important. That’s not to say it’s devoid of nudity as star Scott Neal bares his ass in a pair of sexy scenes! Scott’s ass truly is a Beautiful Thing!
