Hosted by the Atlanta Eagle, the event was conceived as a response to increasing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, aiming to affirm the presence and rights of the drag community . Richard Ramey, owner of the Atlanta Eagle, emphasized the importance of such events in providing performers with a platform to express themselves and support their livelihoods.
