Atlanta Dogwood Festival Returns for Its 90th Anniversary This Spring

After months of uncertainty—and thanks to an ambitious fundraising effort and a new presenting partnership—one of Atlanta’s most beloved traditions is officially back. The 90th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival, presented by Associated Credit Union, will take over Piedmont Park from Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12, 2026, welcoming the city into spring once again.

Founded in 1936, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is not only the city’s longest-running festival but also the third-oldest fine arts festival in the country. Its return marks a major milestone for Atlanta’s arts and cultural community, reaffirming the festival’s role as a seasonal cornerstone for locals and visitors alike.

“We are absolutely delighted that the hard work of our board and leadership team combined with support from the community, corporate and philanthropic organizations, and the City of Atlanta has allowed the festival to continue in 2026 and hopefully, for years to come,” said Brian Hill, executive director of the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.

A New Chapter with a New Presenting Sponsor

This year’s announcement comes with two important updates. First, the festival has named Associated Credit Union as its presenting sponsor for the milestone 90th anniversary.

“Associated Credit Union is incredibly honored to be the presenting sponsor of the 90th Annual Dogwood Festival,” said Chadwick Evans, EVP and chief lending officer at Associated Credit Union. “For us, this isn’t just about a weekend of celebration; it’s a reflection of our deep-rooted commitment to the people and neighborhoods we serve. This festival brings our communities together to celebrate our shared culture and vibrant spirit, and we are proud to support an event that creates such lasting memories for our members and neighbors alike.”

Associated Credit Union serves more than 170,000 members across Georgia and has a longstanding commitment to community engagement through its foundation and charitable partnerships. More information can be found at acuonline.org, and the credit union can be followed on social media at @AssociatedCU on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

Ticketing Changes for 2026

The second major update affects festival access. Beginning in 2026, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival will require a nominal entrance fee, an authorization granted by the City of Atlanta. Organizers say the change will help ensure the long-term sustainability of the festival.

Weekend passes and family packages will be available, with tickets offered both in advance and at the gate, making it easier for attendees to plan their visit while continuing to enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

What to Expect at the 90th Annual Festival

As always, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival delivers a full-spectrum celebration of art, culture, and community—perfectly timed with the blooming of Piedmont Park’s iconic dogwood trees.

City Celebration
Drawing tens of thousands of visitors to Midtown each spring, the festival combines fine art with live music, international entertainment, culinary offerings, a VIP experience, a 5K run, and hands-on activities for children—all set against one of Atlanta’s most picturesque backdrops.

Artist Market
The festival’s juried Artist Market features more than 250 fine artists from across the country, selected from nearly 1,000 applicants. Artists work across a dozen mediums, including painting, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts, woodworking, and more.

Live Music & Entertainment
The Coca-Cola Main Stage hosts live music and international performances all weekend long, showcasing everything from local bands to global cultural acts spanning regions from India to the Caribbean.

Mimosa 5K
Festival Saturday begins with the beloved Atlanta Dogwood Festival Mimosa 5K, a scenic run through Midtown that ends with a celebratory toast in Piedmont Park. The race is also an AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.

Party in the Park VIP Experience
Those looking to elevate their festival weekend can opt for the ticketed Party in the Park VIP area, which includes food tastings, beer, wine, and cocktail samplings, a private bar, seating, and access to real bathrooms.

Atlanta High School Art Exhibition
A cornerstone of the festival’s nonprofit mission, this annual exhibition highlights the work of Georgia high school students. Selected by a jury of professionals, the top pieces are displayed during the festival, with scholarships and art supply support awarded to students and teachers.

Family Fun
The Kids Village, presented by Dollywood Parks and Resorts and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, offers interactive entertainment and activities designed especially for younger festivalgoers.

A Spring Tradition Continues

As Atlanta welcomes another spring, the return of the Dogwood Festival feels especially meaningful. It’s a celebration of resilience, creativity, and community—values that have defined the festival for 90 years and continue to guide its future.
