Odyssey of Kink: Legacies in Leather and BDSM, Opening Reception

The history of Leather communities carries a deeply complex and extraordinary lineage, and now an exhibition is aiming to showcase just that. Mistress Sheba, an educator, artist, and Leatherwoman, will debut her first exhibition this winter as the culmination of her fellowship with the Carter Johnson Leather Library and Collection. The showcase will feature Sheba’s original photography alongside vintage erotic magazines and fetish memorabilia from the Library’s internationally recognized archive.

The Carter Johnson Leather Library is a 501(c)(3) archive dedicated to preserving queer, kink, fetish, and Leather history, spearheaded by Leather historian and everyone’s favorite elder, Mama Vi!

The exhibition opening reception is open to all 18 or older and will feature a panel of community members. Light refreshments will be served.

The show will run through the weekend and end Sunday, January 18th at 1pm. All are welcome.
