The Mystery of Love and Sex

To kick off 2018, Out Front Theatre will stage the Southeastern premiere of The Mystery of Love and Sex, a poignant and humorous love story set in the deep American south.

The show shares the story of Charlotte and Jonny who are growing up in the deep American South and have been best friends since they were nine. She’s Jewish; he’s Christian; he’s black, she’s white. Their differences intensify their connection, and they contemplate if their friendship might turn into something more. Their growing sexual desire proceeds to complicate everything in surprising, compulsive ways and reveals intricate dynamics of race, sexual identity, and family. The Mystery of Love and Sex is a compelling and unexpected love story about how souls meet and learn from the consequences of coming of age and growing up.

When: February 1-18, 2018

Where: Out Front Theatre, 999 Brady Ave NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
