The David boys were already planning a playlist for this issue before we were sweating on the dance floor with hundreds of our closest friends at Joining Hearts last month. DJ Roland Belmares kept our pointing fingers in the air by mixing some tracks we were already considering.
But he — and the feel-good atmosphere that was the annual fundraising blowout — also made us thankful for a season of incredible hits. There are so many list-worthy dance tracks out this season, we had to super-size this top 10 list. Check out David’s Lucky 13.
13.) 'It’s Okay'
Scotty K. United Vocal Klub Mix
Jason and deMarco
The cute Christian duo are back with more dreamy ideologies, but Scotty K’s club beats are what really lift this track into the heavens.
12.) 'I Love to Move In Here'
Seamus Haji Remix
Moby featuring Grandmaster Caz
From the rap by Sugarhill Gang-great Caz to the booming remix by electro/house darling Haji, this track proves that Moby still has plenty of creativity and tricks up his sleeve.
11.) 'Disturbia'
Jody den Broeder Mix, Rihanna
With this darker remix, we get a whole new appreciation for Rihanna’s vocals. She's usually bathed in the glare of the disco ball, but here she gets down and dirty with den Broeder on the new song from her recent reissue of 'Good Girl Gone Bad.'
10.) 'That Man of Mine'
Jamie J. Sanchez Big Room Anthem Mix Cindy Mizelle
Get ready for big-room synths and even bigger vocals. This one's destined to become a smash. It would be a wise move for a dance label to sign Mizelle to do an album now.
9.) 'Automatic'
Alex Gaudino Remix, Ultra Naté
Gearing up for her 'Alchemy: GST Reloaded' due out later this month, Naté unleashes this Pointer Sisters cover. Gaudino drenches the vocals with funky manipulation and quirky synths.
8.) 'Fame'
Bill Bennett & Pete Masitti’s Video Mix Bill Bennett and Suzanne Palmer
Take a great song screaming for an ultra-gay dance makeover, add a gifted producer, and mix in a diva with a rich pipes, and you have all the makings of a surefire hit.
7.) 'When I Grow Up'
Ralphi Rosario Full Vox
The Pussycat Dolls
Is she singing 'boobies' or 'groupies'? Either way, this is one of the hottest dance tracks of the summer. This one's an orgy of vocal manipulation and big beats in anticipation of the group’s sophomore album 'Doll Domination' next month.
6.) 'Give It 2 Me'
Eddie Amador House Lovers Mix Madonna
Whatever you read about her in the tabs, Madge is still putting out smokin' remixes from 'Hard Candy.' This version vamps it up and puts more spring in Madonna's step. Happy 50th one day late, girl!
5.) 'When You Touch Me'
2008 Club Mix
Freemasons feat. Katherine Ellis
Another delightful ditty with diva vocals and the Freemasons' retro sound. The duo reworked the original from last year’s 'Shakedown' compilation to make it even better for the clubs.
4.) 'And I Try'
Original Mix
Bimbo Jones feat. Katherine Ellis
As good as her performance was for the Freemasons, Ellis pulls out all the stops for this one with Bimbo Jones, the lead single for their album due this fall. Ellis commands the dance floor, and with two songs on this list, she just may be the diva of the summer.
3.) 'Into the Nightlife'
Jody den Broeder Mix, Cyndi Lauper
This gem from 'Bring Ya to the Brink' soars thanks to a dark yet anthemic remix. The track is deconstructed then rebuilt around a dramatic core. Don't fret. Lauper’s vocals still glimmer.
2.) 'Spotlight'
Moto Blanco Club Mix
Jennifer Hudson

Hudson goes supernova under the skills of Bobby Blanco and Miki Moto. This is a euphoric mix of the first single off her debut album, due out this fall. Moto Blanco brings their frenetic touch to this kiss-off song, giving Mr. Wrong a blissful kickin' to the curb.
1.) 'I Decided'
Freemasons Remix, Solange

The younger Knowles sister and the Freemasons give big sis Beyoncé a run for her money. This remix simultaneously hearkens back to the golden age of girl-group doo-wop and sets trends for tomorrow’s jams.
